OPTOFONICA CAPSULE was created in collaboration with TEZ in order to experience surround sound and moving images by artists, who work in the field of sound spatialization. The capsule can be adjusted in height by the visitor with a touch interface. You can select clips by the artists and enjoy. Five panels made of carbon fiber / honeycomb sandwich produce a lightweight surface that resonates sound waves using tactile sound tranducers. A computer and amplifier are built into the floor as well as a tactile sub woofer.
OF Capsule was realized with the support of Arcadi, Stichting Optofonica, ErgoSwiss, Philips and Esarc HiTec, Angst+Pfister, and thanks to BJ Hoofd, Silvan Laan, Kim Kilde, Martyn Peskens, Robert Fischer (hexler.net), photographed by Roel Backaert.
