PHOTOLUMINESCENT PHLUBBER is a sculpture providing light at night in a dark spot on the streets of Amsterdam Osdorp. The sculpture was comissioned by the Stadsdeel Osdorp/ City of Amsterdam via "de Bakkerij" and supported by the Fonds BKVB. The goal was to create a friendlier atmosphere in the evenings for the children that are afraid to go out when it is dark. The Epoxy/fiberglass composite contains photoluminescent (also known as "glow in the dark") powder, which is activated by sunlight, a pocketlamp and body heat.
